Q. Do twins have all the same genes? Rebecca M, Kings Park primary.
A. There are two types of twins, identical and non-identical twins. Identical twins do share all the same genes. They are genetically identical. Non-identical twins share half of their genes as do any other brothers and sisters.

Q. Why could it be a bad idea to choose genes? p7 pupil, Davidsons Mains primary.
A. Some people are against choosing a baby's genes (by pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) for religious or moral reasons, or due to concern about changing our genetic make-up permanently, while others think that it is a good idea as it can increase parental choice. Many support limited use of this technology to avoid having children with distressing and costly health problems.
