Heather McQueen

Dr Heather McQueen, senior lecturer in genetics, founded and leads the Gene Jury project which has received funding from The Wellcome Trust (People Award) and Science Engagement awards from the Scottish Government.

Iona Beange

Iona Beange is a professional science communicator based at the University of Edinburgh. She delivers the Gene Jury workshops alongside Heather McQueen.

Fiona Stewart

Fiona Stewart, Biology Research and Development officer for SSERC (Scottish Schools Equipment Research Centre), and co-leader of the Gene Jury project 2009-2011.

.Sarah Keer-Keer

Sarah Keer-Keer presented Gene Jury workshops from 2009 to 2011. She also developed the PGD, GM and other web-based learning resources and managed the website. In 2011 she organised the Gene Jury conference. She now manages outreach for the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology, but stills helps GJ out when she can.

  Maria Apelt completed her honours project with Gene Jury as part of her undergraduate degree in Biology. She has created the Biodiversity online resources in the learning zone.    
Kenneth Wallace completed his honours project with Gene Jury as part of his undergraduate degree in Genetics (2010). Kenneth created many of 'DNA database' resources in the learning zone. Dr Cathy Southworth Dr Cathy Southworth is an ex-Gene Jury presenter and is a Science Communicator at the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Gillian Dugan

Dr Gillian Dugan is an ex-Gene Jury presenter who has moved into a full-time teaching career.

Henry Flockhart

Henry Flockhart developed and presented with Gene Jury as part of his undergraduate degree in Genetics (2008) at Edinburgh University.

Lara Crossland is an ex-Gene Jury presenter, and continuing Science Communicator at the Scottish Initiative for Biotechnology Education at the University of Edinburgh.

Chloe Williams

Chloe Williams developed our Gene Jury "Tools for Schools" as part of her undergraduate degree in Genetics (2009) at Edinburgh University.
